I started with this and upgraded to an Eberlestock Destroyer. You pay for what you get. Higher price doesn't necessarily mean better unless it's a item/vendor with a strong reputation.Since I got one that was on the high end and, price wise, this is on the low end, even a novice like me can see clear distinctions. That isn't meant to disparage the Explorer Tactical. Like I said in the title, it's great if you're new. Cheap yet rugged enough, provides enough support if you don't load too heavy, and comfortable enough. For "mild" hiking and camping (handful of days; hikes aren't too strenuous), it's good assuming your load isn't too heavy. For me (YMMV), I'd say >30lbs, the caveats/downsides clearly show. When I mentioned mild hiking/camping, I mean that if you do heavy duty/hardcore hiking and camping (Appalachians), this one doesn't cut it. For that, you'll want something with a frame, bigger storage capacity, better padding, and much more durable (rip-proof) among other things. Cursory search on Amazon shows that the cheapest ones that fits the aforementioned criterion is >$70. My point in mentioning that gives you an idea what an intro pack vs a top of the line pack is like.i like this pack, it's a great buy, it seems good quality for the money. the only problem was i bought this pack for hiking, and it can't fit my sleeping bag. i have an average sized sleeping, and i could not fit it on top or under the top flap, or on bottom of the bag. but this bag is big, i wasn't sure it would be by the pictures or the description, but it can fit a lot stuff inside the mane compartment and the side and top pockets. and the padding is good too. so for $40 i would try it. but if you have a bigger budget then $40 and you will hike a lot with it, then i suggest buying a more expensive bag. and it's made of water resistant nylon.Very good buy dont think about this is the best back pack for the price seems very durable and water resistance so worth every penny great as a starter or expert bug out campersGood pack for casual camping or travelling. Bag is about 50 or 55 litres so not giantic but not small. Material is certainly okay, but again not the best and could probably cut fairly easily. Not for serious long term camping or hiking but great for one day and unbeatable for the price.time owned: 1 year.Well I got the backpack, it looked really good, I put all my gear in it, it fit very well it was very big and the inside was lined with rubber I'm guessing for water resistant, I would give a five but the zipper on the left side was broken, not a very big deal but it kinda sucks.Es una mochila muy frágil se rompe con el tiempo y sin usarla como debe serThis bag is deceptively large. From the outside it looks much smaller than it is but once you open it you see how deep the bag really is. And the lining works really well to keep out all water unless you just throw it in a river. But even the heaviest rain should not get inside as long as it's closed properly. I was impressed and can't wait to use it on my upcoming camping trip.I read some of the reviews of this bag giving it fair or bad reviews. I think it is perfect. It stays in my closet and it full as a "to go" bag in case of emergencies. In fact I bought two of them and they are both packed and ready to go with supplies "just in case"The product came oversees so it was a bit of a wait but I knew that ahead. It was delayed a week and with everything going on in the world thats to be expected. The colour was bang on with what I wanted and advertised. The size is exactly as advertised. Fits a lot of gear, like a lot. Waterproof as advertised. Good material. Seems very durable. Fits well and is adjustable for a large range of body types. The back straps and waist straps are very comfortable along with the back padding. I would say that if you are a large individual in the belly area that strap isn't the longest but would be easy to sub in a new longer strap. There are areas to add extra bag gear as well as 2 carabiners that came with the bag. I will be using this for camping, hunting and fishing. I would recommend this product for sure especially for 56 bucks. I've had bags twice the value that aren't as good. 5 stars for me and I will update when I have used it a few more times.Great buy, lots of space, good quality!Good bag not yet tested but good to have during your tripsGreat bag and fast shipping. Tons of room in the bag!very good backpack
