I bought this for my son whom is going on a trek.test runs are looking good and he is happy with it, I'll let you know what the final analysis is after he uses it for 4 weeks straight :)It is comfortable, compact, and convenient, however don’t expect it to insulate well in cold weather. Definitely a summer sleeping bag.I would want a warmer bag for winter but it is advertised as three seasons. The small packed size is convenient for backpacking.Used this bag to camp in Grand Teton National Park, and tge material is so light weight and cheap I nearly froze in 28 degree weather. Not sure why this bag is being advertised as a zero degree bag. It is compact and lightweight, but very cheap material I could feel tge air moving in and through it like a knit throw. Not worth the money.A down sleeping bag can provide me with a warm nest to snuggle in when I'm hiking. This is a very lightweight and compact mummy style sleeping bag and stuff sack that uses a true 1.1 lb. 700 Fill Power 90% Down 10% Feather insulation to trap warm air. A down fill rating of 750 means 1 ounce of down can fill 750 cubic inches when fully fluffed. That adds insulation and keeps the sleeping bag light in weight. Always go for the higher loft fill numbers for a better product. 600 Fill is very good, so 700 Fill for this bag is excellent. All down has a few small feathers. A 90/10 ratio of down to feathers is considered tops. The thin nylon sleeping bag shell itself has a nice 3/4ths length zipper. I doubt very much if used alone this bag would be warm enough for me; it is rated by the seller for 43°F-68°F. I do feel that it would be an excellent bag to slip into a cheaper outer polyester fill sleeping bag with a mat beneath. Certainly this will be going into my "Go Bag" for an emergency as it is light and could be a lifesaver with even a mylar silver reflective blanket wrapped over it. Alone by itself it is less useful. That drops a star.I can give a Limited 4 Star Recommendation for this Litume Brand 1.1 lbs 700 Fill Power Down Ultra Air Mummy Sleeping Bag, 43°F-68°F, Water Repelling Sleep Sack for 3-Season, Ultra-Lightweight and Portable, for Hiking Traveling Camping Backpacking. Alone it is not enough for me but it does have good down and sewing.I hope you’ve found the information and my review helpful.I got this sleeping bag for backpacking. I am a petite woman so I feel every ounce on my back for miles. The last time I backpacked, I used what was touted as an ultralight but cheap sleeping back and although it was very light, I was too cold to sleep that night which was in the high 20s, low 30s (February in Southern California). So I was eager but wary about this mummy sleeping bag. When it arrived, I was amazed at how small it was. It does indeed compress down to the smallest package I've ever seen for a sleeping bag - yay. It is very, very light. I would only use it for late spring, summer, and early fall backpacking. The lowest temp it is rated for at this time is 43 degrees - not winter temps at all. It is very comfortable and at 5'1", it has plenty of space for me. At this time, I have been using it as a liner for my thick sleeping bag for winter camping trips and it has kept me very warm. I will definitely be using it this summer for backpacking. This sleeping bag is great-it weights less than 1.5 pounds and is rated to 42 degrees, so it's a perfect three season sleeping bag for backpacking in New England. The bag for this case has 2 closures on it, which is good to keep the bag dry and secure. The loops closing the bag can be used to attach the bag to a carabiner to hang it off your backpack if you are short on interior room in your pack. The bag itself is good quality. This is a mummy style bag and the one I received has a left zipper. I never really understood why people care what side the zipper is on, but I'm mentioning it because I know it is important to some people. It has a velcro closure on the top of the zipper. The bag is plenty long enough for us, at 5'5" and would be adequate for people way taller than us. This bag has loops on the bottom for hang drying, and a closure to close the bag around your face for warmth, another feature I have never used. It has sections sewn off for even feather/down distribution. The bag is very easy to fold back up and return to it's sack.I would compare this in quality to a marmot bag I usually use, and I would feel very confident using this bag for backpacking. My daughter, who also hikes and backpacks compared it to the Marmot and found it to be comparable quality at a much more agreeable price point.I personally wish the color scheme was more "fun" but my daughter liked that it's understated because she feels garish in most outdoor gear. Definitely would recommend this as a good value. This sleeping bag is as good as the higher priced expensive sleeping bags sold at REI and other big chain stores. I am a big fan of this in most camping conditions as it is not too hot for the summer. Would recommend to anyone looking for a value.
